Mines Technology Fee
The purpose of the Technology Fee is to provide technology and technological enhancements, equitable access to that technology, and to adequately develop and maintain the infrastructure required to support that technology, and maximize the impact of student- and institution-owned technology.
The Proposal Process
Proposals are collected twice a year, typically in March (for fall funding) and October (for spring funding). Proposals are submitted through an online form.
To successfully prepare and submit a proposal, follow these steps:

- Technology Fee Guidelines (updated fall 2025): This document details the rationale, authorized/prohibited uses, and required pre-submission steps. Please read the Technology Fee Guidelines document carefully and thoroughly before submitting to ensure your proposal fits the Tech Fee perameters.

Submit Your Proposal
This knowledge base article has a link to the online submission form to submit your proposal. It also contains the current semester’s due dates.
Proposal Reviews
Once your proposal has been submitted, it will be reviewed by the Tech Fee Committee. You and other proposal authors will be notified if your request was approved by the end of the semester.
